The specifications of pump cover A. General High accuracy, fully welded, machined construction can be used for dredge pump cover, assemble with pump to form closed space This kind of pump cover requires the most reasonable WPS and top welders, high accuracy pattern and casting, sophisticated heat treatment process. B. Construction The construction is to be built according to the drawing with rules of good workmanship. Procedure: Pattern-Casting-Heat treatment-NDT-Rough machining-Welded with steel parts-NDT-Adjust and heat treatment-NDT-Machining-Inspection C. Materials All fabricated steelwork used in the construction of the pump cover will be to manufacturing standard of UniSite or Other classification society. All materials proposed will be selected to comply with the latest Health and Safety Rules. Paint systems for protection will be of the highest quality (Hempel, Inter, Sigma, Jotum) Machined surface will be of the highest quality(Tectyl891) D. Welding With the most reasonable WPS All welding will be performed in accordance with drawing and order and UniSite experience and all welding will be continuous. E. Pattern and Casting Pattern will be made first and done inspected before casting. Cast pieces are presented in the foundry, for inspection of dimensions and hardness after sandblasting and machining but before conservation and painting. Deviations are sanctioned as follows:
